+Sr. Roberta Sobus, DC

REST IN PEACE:

This post is one of many tribute pages found on my blog created to honor significant family members, friends, and loved ones who have passed from this life to the next . . .

+ Sr. Roberta Sobus, DC (a kind sister who greatly inspired me!)

Date/place of birth: December 1, 1922, Baltimore, Maryland

Date/place of death: June 27, 2011, Emmitsburg, Maryland

**Sr. Roberta lived in the St. Joseph Provincial House of the Daughters of Charity.  I knew her from my time as a college student at Mount St. Mary's, Emmitsburg.  Every Thursday afternoon during those days I went with Sr. Roberta for her "windshield surveys" in the Emmitsburg area.  We would drive and stop at various houses where people in need were greeted and served by Sr. Roberta.  It was a joyous experience for me!

– Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
